Overview:

This board-based simulation focuses on the business side of healthcare and is designed for both managers and individual contributors. The overall objective is to help participants understand how business works and the circulation of values throughout the system. After participating in this, individuals will appreciate the alignment of their efforts to the “big picture” and will recognize the impact of good decisions.

• Provide a big picture perspective of hospital/medical center operations.
• Identify key performance indicators – what they are, how to measure them, and how they can be improved.
• Illustrates how decisions in one are of the enterprise impact the overall operation.
• The impact when there is more effective utilization of personnel and other key resources.
• The effect on the financials with efficient supply chain management.
• Understanding financial statements and managing budgets.
• Demonstrates the interdependencies of teams.
